Vision
A transformed, inclusive, and self-reliant society where women, youth, children, and vulnerable communities flourish spiritually, socially, and economically with dignity and hope.
Goal
To build resilient and inclusive communities in Southern Ethiopia by empowering women, youth, and vulnerable groups through equitable access to education, livelihoods, protection services, psychosocial support, and the promotion of human rights, peace, and social justice.
Mission Statement
HHDA exists to empower women, youth, children, and vulnerable community members by expanding access to quality education, health, and sustainable livelihood opportunities.
Through vocational training, entrepreneurship development, psychosocial and spiritual support, and inclusive social services, HHDA promotes child protection, women’s rights, youth leadership, humanitarian response, and peacebuilding.
We work in partnership with communities, faith institutions, government, and development actors, leveraging innovation and technology to foster a creative, resilient, and self-reliant society.
Thematic Areas of Intervention
Economic Empowerment and Livelihoods
Expand access to education, vocational training, job creation, and entrepreneurship opportunities—particularly for women, youth, and disadvantaged households.
Child Protection and Family Support
Protect and nurture children, especially orphans and vulnerable groups, through child-friendly spaces and community childcare centers that ensure safety, development, and family productivity.
Education, Knowledge, and Innovation
Promote lifelong learning and innovation by strengthening access to educational resources, modern libraries, digital tools, and technology transfer.
Inclusive Infrastructure Development
Construct and manage multi-purpose facilities for training, learning, leadership development, and community dialogue to enhance social cohesion and development.
Psychosocial and Spiritual Well-Being
Provide professional psychosocial counseling and spiritual support to strengthen emotional well-being, mental resilience, and moral values, particularly for individuals affected by trauma and distress.
Women’s and Children’s Rights & Social Justice
Advocate for gender equality, child protection, good governance, and social justice, including prevention of human trafficking and all forms of abuse.
Humanitarian Response and Resilience Building
Deliver timely humanitarian assistance and pursue durable solutions for internally displaced persons and communities affected by conflict, climate shocks, or natural disasters.
Peacebuilding and Reconciliation
Promote peace, dialogue, reconciliation, and social harmony through community-based initiatives and faith-inspired approaches.
General Objective
